Walmart might not have had a chance to remove the guns. Plus walmart wasnt the only place where people were getting the guns.. Walmart had the same warning as averyone else...so we just cant blame Walmart on that picture you just seen...the person that is holding the gun had the choice to make that decision about stealing the firearm...For those of us that didnt personally go through this experience have no idea what these people had to endure. Im not saying that it was right for this person to have a gun, I think it was wrong but his ententions behind this reason could have been to protect his family etc...and we may never know the reason. God Bless them all

I cant believe nearly everyone one of those somments revolved around race. Who gives a shit. People are people, Blacks and whites are racist. This picture is not of the walmart in slidell. I work there, and we locked all of the firearms in a steel security case before closing the store and they were still there when we returned. Also, our store was not looted. Besides, there was no electricity anywhere here in Slidell until approx. 3 weeks after the hurricane.

This is not the walmart in Slidell I dont even know that it is real. I lived in Slidell and the walmart was not looted. If this pic were real how would the lights be on power was out in slidell for weeks! As for this being in N.O there is no way a white guy would be walking through like that he looks like a tourist on Holiday. Picture should be romoved because it makes you question the authenticity of the pictures I know to be real.

In the weeks and months after the storm, the baton rouge walmart's looked like this, nearly every afternoon, due to the fact that thousands of evacuees lost everything they had, including my family and I. Shelves were empty and common things became hard to find. As far as the guy with the BB gun,and no shirt,He probabally threw away his contaminated shirt Like we had to do, and was there tring to replace his. But like I found out there was nothing left. Hundreds were barefoot and had to strip off our contaminated clothing. we were in boxer shorts and t= shirts and no shoes when we finally got to the store. It was really bad for everyone, black, white, or yellow and well, people have different ways of doing things, and as longs as he don't hurt anyone in the process, who am I to Judge. We all do freakey stuff acording to someone.
